Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics

The department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of “Armenia” Republican Medical Center operates since 2005 and it’s one of the leading departments of the Republic of Armenia.

The department is fully equipped with the best medical equipment, qualified specialists and performs a wide range of interventions of injuries and orthopedic diseases. For surgery we use only high-quality implants of well-known foreign companies (Jonhnson & Jonhnson, SYNTHES, A.O. STORZ etc.).
 

The Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics carries out the following surgeries:
 
•    Surgical treatment of all kinds of injuries of upper and lower limbs

•    Endoprosthesis of hip and knee joints

•    Arthroscopic interventions of knee joint

•    Reconstructive surgery of upper and lower limbs

•    Lengthening and correction of upper and lower limbs

The department cooperates with the leading Russian and German medical centers, where our doctors have also been trained.

There are five orthopedic traumatologists at the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics. Three specialists are PhD candidates.
