Giessen questionnaire

The questionnaire is adapted in V.M.Bekhterev Psychoneurological Research Institute. It identifies the intensity of emotional complaints of the physical condition of human.

The physical condition of a person affects the pattern of emotional behavior. This happens due to the impact of somatic on person's psychology. However, the opposite effect is also possible; i.e. individual's emotional stereotype of behavior affects his physical state.

Emotional stereotype of behavior have a vital influence on perception of organic condition.

In medicine, there is a concept of «subjective level of disease». In contrast to objective picture of somatic disorders, the subjective level reveals how a person interprets the emotional state of his health. Thus, every single type of feeling is accompanied by subjective emotional perception, and the sum of such feelings determines the intensity of subjective disease.

The total score of intensity of emotional complaints of the physical condition forms an independent and important factor which determines the psychological status of individual.

This is true for any person and not only for those who are ill or seek help from doctor. After all, any of us, in a way or another, is concerned about his health and experiences any type of sickness by bringing emotional psychosomatic background in daily relations with other people.

Hereby, we suggest a questionnaire which identifies the intensity of emotional complaints of the physical condition.
