Department of Vascular Surgery
Center of Vascular Surgery at the Republican Medical Center "Armenia" was founded in the early 80s. Initially, the department was a part of the General Surgery department and only in 1986, under the auspices of prof. G.G. Grigoryan, it become the Center of Vascular Surgery, as a specialized department of the Republican Clinical Hospital. Since its establishment until now, Center of Vascular Surgery is the leading medical center in Armenia, which treated thousands of patients. In the center the new methods of treatment of vascular pathologies are actively developed and used. Since 2003, Center accommodates Micro plastic surgery service, which equipped with highly advanced technological equipment required for plastic reconstructive microsurgery and aesthetic plastic. Since 2015 Center of Vascular Surgery includes the endovascular (invasive) surgery department as well. The overall high professional level of the center helps to embed and introduce into clinical practice the entire arsenal of modern medical care for patients with vascular diseases.
Doctors of the Center of Vascular Surgery are highly skilled angiosurgeons with many years of medical practice, PhD and specialists of the highest category, trained at the Russian Scientific Center of Surgery and other major vascular centers. Surgeons are regularly participating in various scientific conferences and international forums. A team of experienced nurses provides the necessary remedial measures, and postoperative care for patients.
Center of Vascular Surgery provides twenty-four-hour medical care for patients with diseases of the vascular system and microsurgical support.

1. Vascular Surgery
- Reconstructive and restorative surgery of the aorta and great vessels (including cervical arteries) bypass surgery and prosthetics
- Lumbar and thoracic sympathectomy
- Thrombembolectomy and endarterectomy
- Distal, peripheral venous arterialization during critical limb ischemia
- Surgical correction of congenital vascular anomaly
- Arteriovenous fistulas (autovein and vascular prosthesis)
- Endovascular angioplasty of peripheral arteries (balloon dilatation and stenting)
- Implantation of inferior vena cava filter
- Surgeries of venous insufficiency and diseases (phlebectomy, reconstruction of vascular prostheses)

2. Micro Plastic Surgery and non-surgical interventions.
- Facial plastic and aesthetic surgery (face lifting, lips correction, enlargement, diminution, blepharoplasty, etc.)
- Rhinoplasty, septoplasty, otoplasty
- Hair transplantation and correction after eradication of tumors and post-traumatic situation
- Breast surgery and correction (lifting, enlargement with and without implants, diminution)
- Abdominal plastic
- Liposuction
- Limb surgery of tendon, nerve, vessel injuries of different origins
- Joint micro plastic surgery (vascular, urology, maxillofacial surgery, traumatic, burns, etc.)
